During my visit to Medicine Hat in April 1997, I found Medicine Hat Transit Staff and Driver's to be very friendly and accommodating with even allowing me to tour their Transit Garages and everything. While I was traveling around the MHT Transit system a driver of MHT mentioned to me that #751, the oldest bus left in service with MHT was on the road working on the South Ridge route. By the time I got to the Transit Centre where the South Ridge Route was operating out of, #751 had just been changed off (It is one of the spare units) and the regular assigned bus had been brought back out after it had some problems earlier in the day. I went to ride the South Ridge Route anyways and got talking to the driver about #751 and others. He then proceeded to call the Maintenance worker who hadn't arrived back at the Garage with #751 and asked if he would kindly bring #751 back out for the day. The Driver gave him the reasons why (Which was for me to see and ride it). The Maintenance worker agreed and turned around and brought the bus back out to to work on the South Ridge Route. These two shots show the Maintenance worker arriving at the Transit Terminal to do the switch. The Driver said he didn't mind drive that bus for the rest of that day either. I thought that was one of the nicest things a Transit system has done for me as a Bus Enthusiest. Photos by Peter McLaughlin. | |

#1045 (Ex-#752) is seen converted for some sort of Mobile Command Centre for an unknown department. But it too like #1044 seems to be retired and out of service. Photos captured by Peter McLaughlin on August 23, 2005. | |
