The rest were retired and either scrapped, or sold

 #279 (Ex-#153) is seen working route 16 Selkirk in August 1993 in this view captured by Peter McLaughlin. #279 was rebuilt sometime in 1985 and was originally part of the #150-159 batch that were purchased in 1960. #279 was originally #153 before rebuild.
